Dakota is a self-taught Sydney-based photographer shooting primarily on film, specialising in fashion and portraits. Since starting out photographing local metal and hardcore shows as a hobby in the late to early 00's as a way to document her love for music, this time spent behind a camera lead her to photographing people in her everyday life, and later evolved into fashion editorial work. Dakota has since become a regular contributing photographer for Oyster Magazine, whilst also having her work featured in other local and international publications such as Dazed and Confused, ZEITmagazin, Harper's Bazaar, Kerrang!, Grazia, I-D, Highsnobiety, Neighbourhood Paper, Catalogue and Livefast. Dakota has also worked with top international models, musicians, artists, celebrities and designers and has had multiple gallery exhibitions in Australia and overseas. Her detail-oriented, minimalist aesthetic often featuring a pastel colour palate is pleasing to the eye.
Dakota is represented in Australasia by Moth Projects.
